Am I a candidate for being helped by Chinese Medicine?
Acupuncture is recognized by the World Heath Organization (WHO) and the National Institute for Health (NIH) to be effective in treating a wide range of (over 50) common medical conditions, including but not limited to; EENT, respiratory, neurological and/or musculoskeletal, gastrointestinal, urogenital, gynecological, circulatory, and emotional disorders, as well as successfully providing supportive therapy for cancer, weight management, and chronic illness. I am happy to discuss your specific health concern with you before you come in for your first appointment.

What does acupuncture feel like?
Acupuncture is generally painless and without side effects. The exact sensation varies greatly for each person, although most people find treatments to be very relaxing and enjoyable. My treatments are intentionally very gentle, if there is any discomfort it usually subsides quickly and/or can be easily remedied.

What can I expect from my first appointment?
We start with a comprehensive evaluation including a detailed medical history, thorough assessment of your current state of health, survey of your lifestyle and consideration of your long-term goals for healing and wellbeing. A complete picture of your whole self is essential in order to assess your individual needs and create a custom treatment plan. This intake process will be followed by a 45 minute acupuncture session.
